Your Home Visit - What to Expect…
This is a wonderful opportunity to go through all your jewellery in the privacy and comfort of your own dining room.
We know so many of our customers have aquired a fair amount of jewellery over time, whether that’s been passed on from mums and aunts, or just your own birthdays and anniversaries over the years. Sometimes it gets to the point where it can feel quite overwhelming having more jewellery than you can wear and fully appreciate.
So the first thing we do on our home visits is simply go through it all with you.
Jo, our manager, will be your main point of contact throughout, you’ll be really looked after with her care and years of expertise, not just from a jewellery perspective, but in understanding the emotional journey you’re probably going on.
The first bit will be going through all of your jewellery and categorising it into different metal types: so grouping it into 9ct, 18ct gold and silver for example.
Throughout the sorting process we are also listening to your stories, understanding what your sentimental connection is to each piece and also what your hopes and dreams (no matter how vague they might seem at the moment) for what you’d like to be able to wear and enjoy in the future.
Typically after an hour or so we have some clear ideas of what needs doing and we can start giving you a feel for what things might cost.
Anything you’d like doing straight away we can take back to our workshop to get on with and often we also have helped you have items assigned for future projects and things to talk to the rest of your family about.
We love considering other family members, especially your children that might at some point enjoy and value having some involvement in any discusions we help you make. They can even get involved in designs ideas, coming into our workshop to have a hands on experience and perhaps being part of a meaningful ceremony adding loved one’s ashes into metal we’re remodelling for you.
“I didn’t realise how involved Mitch and Jo would get with listening to my family stories but it help turn something that felt overwhelming to something I’m really excited about. We have some brilliant ideas now for the girl’s 18th birthdays and I now get to wear some of my mum’s much loved jewellery!”
Every visit is different in the detail, but fundamentally we loved helping you figure out what’s next, whether that’s just one ring or several boxes of inhierited pieces. Step one is just email or call us to discuss coming to see you, we can agree a day and time that works for you, including Wednesday evenings, early mornings as well as Saturdays.
