Red Gemstone Viewing Evening
At Petra Jewellery, we believe choosing a gemstone is about more than colour or carat, it’s about connection and finding what works perfectly for you. That’s why our recent Red Gemstone Event was such a joy to host. It gave us the chance to explore the fiery world of red gemstones, from garnets to rubies, spinels and bright red tourmalines.
Red gemstones hold a special magic. Each one tells a different story:
Visitors were treated to a handpicked selection of stones, and true to Petra style had the opportunity to examine them up close using jeweller’s loupes and tweezers, and they were all experts!
Guests enjoyed more than just gemstones, they were welcomed with bubbly and friendly faces. This relaxed style event allowed for hands-on exploration, expert advice and heartfelt conversations.
What makes these gemstone events truly memorable is the opportunity to explore each stone up close, its colour, its story, and the way it might come to life in a bespoke design. There’s always that magical moment when a stone just clicks with someone, and witnessing that spark never gets old.
Abi and Sarah loved spending time with everyone, chatting through the differences between rubies and spinels, answering questions, and sharing what gives each red gem its unique personality. The atmosphere was relaxed, joyful, and had a fair bit of sparkle too!
We even had a bit of fun with our favourite game Basic, Better and Best challenging our guests to spot the most valuable gemstone in the collection, which happened to be worth £4,600! After some enthusiastic guessing (and a few close calls), Jo jumped in with a smile to lend a hand.. It was a brilliant mix of learning and laughter, just the way we like it.
