Appointments
Do you offer appointments?
Yes, we have operated solely by appointment for a few years now and offer appointments for all jewellery needs from repair drop offs to design experiences like our Afternoon Tea Design Experiences. You don't need to wait to speak to an expert, we're ready for you when you arrive. You'll have the privacy you need and we'll even have drinks and nibbles waiting for you.
Can I visit without an appointment?
Because we run by appointment, we often don't have anyone available to help you if you show up without one. We want to make sure we have the right person and the right expertise available when you do visit so we ask that you book on our website or give us a call and we can see what we've got available for you. if you do have a quick question or need to drop something off for an existing job, just call or email us.
How long are the appointments?
A collection appointment to pick up your repair or commission is 15 minutes, a repair drop off is 30 minutes so if you have multiple repairs, we may suggest booking more than one appointment. Design appointments are an hour (or 90 minutes for our design experiences).
Sometimes things can take longer and we will do our best to accomodate that and we'll let you know if we need to arrange another visit.
How much does an appointment cost?
Our consultations are free of charge and no obligation. Any costs for your repairs or commissions will be discussed and quoted in your appointment by your designer.
Do you have parking?
We have 3 on-site parking spaces reserved just for our Petra customers on the left hand side of the shop. These spaces are sign-posted. When you arrive at the Viables Craft Centre, just follow the one way system behind the community hall, past the Parlour Tea Rooms and you will see us.
What if I need to cancel or change my appointment?
We understand that things pop up and need to be changed so there will be an option to cancel or rearrange your appointment in your confirmation email. Or you can just ping us an email or give us a call and we will reschedule your appointment.

Which appointment should I book?
If you're looking to have a piece of jewellery made from scratch or remodelled from your own jewellery, we would suggest a "Design appointment" or a design experience if you'd like to make it extra special. If you have some questions about having something made but aren't quite sure where to start, we suggest a "30-minute chat", we can answer any questions you have and advise on next steps. We can offer zoom calls or phone calls if you can't get to us for whatever reason or if you just want a quick chat in your lunch break!
For questions on repairs, valuations or smaller alterations, we would suggest a "Repair drop off".
