45th Sapphire Anniversary Celebrations

THANK YOU for helping us ‘Share the Sparkle since 1979’

We wanted to celebrate our Sapphire Anniversary with people who have supported us over the last 45 years.

Here’s a fantastic video (by Fernie and Brice from Kippertie) that beautifully captures the feel of our celebratory afternoon; there was a lot of love and gratitude being going around!

SOMETHING TO CELEBRATE…

Mum, Petra, started the business with just her apprenticeship pieces, her incredible goldsmithing skills and a bucket load of tenacity. That, along with the support of our whole community, has meant we’re still here today, despite all the ups and downs of running a business and as I said in my ‘Thank you’ speech, being ‘at the bottom of the non essential list’ during the covid lockdowns.

We loved giving our guests a mini tour of the shop and workshop, with the chance to whitness Behzad, our goldsith, work some magic creating a piece in his workshop, have a go at making something themselves in our Workshop Studio and view a very special sapphire collection in our Creative Suite.

Here are some fabulous pictures captured on the day by Sarah Gaunt:

A MASSIVE THANK YOU

to everyone that came along, including our new MP for Basingstoke, Luke Murphy and the Deputy Major Cllr Colin Phillimore reprenting our landlords and council.

Owner, Petra’s daughter

Here’s to celebrating #SharingtheSparkle with the launch of our community branded merchandise including fabulous tote bags, bespoke Petra candles and handcreams, resuseable cups and lots more.

PS: If you were a guest and took home a luxury Experience Invitation, please let us know who you gave it to and if you need an intro email from us to pass onto them.

PPS: Since we are a bit restricted on space, we each could invite just five special guests and their partners to join the celebrations.

We are very aware there are lots of other much loved customers that would have enjoyed being part of these celebrations as well, so we will be sharing information for more special VIP events soon - look out for our email invitations.

What’s next…?

September is a busy month for us with National Manufacturing Day on 26th where we’re giving some SEN secondary school pupils the chance to get hands on with tools and work some metal,

MacMillan Coffee Morning on the 27th (which was booked out within two hours of sending the email invitation out - THANK YOU to our wonderful community yet again) and then

St. Micheal’s Hospice Moonlight Walk on the 28th - please do let us know if you’re going, we’ll have a stand in Festival Place and some of the Petra Team are walking too, currently we have 2 spaces VIP places if you’d like to join us.
