WHY WE LOVE SAPPHIRES

Sapphires have long been associated with wisdom, loyalty and sincerity, making them a meaningful choice for engagement rings and treasured gifts.

Whilst deep royal blue is the colour most people picture, sapphires are incredibly diverse. From soft cornflower blues and vibrant teals to romantic pinks, sunshine yellows and elegant champagne tones, there's a sapphire to suit every personality and style.

One of the reasons we love working with sapphires is that no two are exactly alike. Every stone has its own unique colour, character and charm, allowing you to create a piece of jewellery that feels truly personal.

When selecting a sapphire, we carefully consider its colour, cut, clarity and carat weight to help you find the perfect gemstone for your design.

IS SAPPHIRE RIGHT FOR EVERYDAY WEAR?

Absolutely.

With a hardness of 9 on the Mohs scale, sapphire is one of the most durable gemstones available, making it an excellent choice for everyday jewellery, including engagement rings.

Its exceptional toughness means it stands up beautifully to daily wear, although, like any gemstone, we recommend removing your jewellery before high-impact activities or heavy manual work.

CARING FOR YOUR SAPPHIRE

Sapphires are wonderfully easy to care for.

Warm water, a mild soap and a soft brush are usually all that's needed to keep your gemstone sparkling. Most sapphires can also be professionally cleaned using ultrasonic equipment, although we'll always advise if your particular stone requires extra care.

We also recommend having your jewellery professionally cleaned and checked from time to time to ensure the setting remains secure and your sapphire continues to look its best.

FINDING YOUR PERFECT SAPPHIRE

We usually have a small selection of sapphires in our showroom, but for something truly special we work closely with trusted gemstone specialists who can source a beautiful range of colours, shapes and sizes.

Whether you've fallen in love with a classic blue sapphire, a contemporary teal stone or a soft pastel shade, we'll help you explore the options and find the perfect gemstone for your bespoke piece.
