A Celebration of Colour…and Community
What a day!
Today, our cottage has been filled with colour, conversation and an incredible sense of community as we've welcomed so many wonderful customers to our Celebration of Colour Charity Event in support of Hampshire Hospitals Charity.
Hosted alongside the fabulous Erika from Solo Mia, Kate from House of Colour, and Clare Dale from Tropic Skincare, the day has been everything we hoped it would be.
From the moment our first guests arrived, there has been a real buzz . The Petra team proudly donned their best blue outfits to support Hampshire Hospitals Charity's Wear It Blue Campaign, while guests explored colourful gemstones, discovered beautiful fashion and skincare, and enjoyed catching up over plenty of conversation and smiles.
At the heart of today's event was our silent charity auction, featuring an extraordinary collection of sapphires, aquamarines, amethysts and other colourful gemstones.
Each gemstone was generously donated by a kind gentleman named Has, and every penny raised through the auction is going directly to Hampshire Hospitals Charity.
Knowing that every bid would help support local patients, their families and the incredible hospital staff who care for them made every gemstone even more meaningful.
All of these beautiful stones now begin new chapters with their new owners, each carrying a story of generosity and kindness. We can’t wait to update you as to what pieces these stones are used in!
One of the highlights of the day was watching our designers share their passion and expertise.
Our designer Sarah hosted our Aquamarine education table, sharing fascinating facts about this beautiful sea-blue gemstone, its history, symbolism and what makes it such a treasured choice for bespoke jewellery. Guests loved discovering more about this calming gemstone and seeing some truly stunning examples up close.
Designer Abi welcomed guests to her Garnet and Amethyst table, exploring the rich colours, fascinating stories and unique characteristics of these much-loved gemstones. From deep red garnets to vibrant purple amethysts, there was plenty to discover, and lots of inspiration for future jewellery commissions.
At our Sapphire table, Jo shared her expertise on one of the world's most iconic gemstones. Guests enjoyed learning about the incredible range of sapphire colours, their durability and why they're such a timeless choice for engagement rings and bespoke jewellery.
Meanwhile, Behzad was hard at work in the workshop, offering professional ring cleaning in exchange for a donation to Hampshire Hospitals Charity.
It was wonderful to see so many treasured pieces restored to their sparkle, knowing that every donation was helping to support the incredible work of our local hospitals.
Our wonderful collaborators have brought so much energy to the day too.
Erika from Solo Mia has filled the showroom with her effortlessly stylish Italian fashion, inspiring guests with colourful pieces perfect for every season.
Kate from House of Colour has been sharing her expert colour analysis, helping guests discover the shades that help them look and feel their very best.
And Clare Dale from Tropic Skincare has introduced everyone to Tropic's award-winning, naturally derived skincare and beauty collection, with plenty of opportunities to try products and ask questions. As well as giving free hand massages…the room smelt incredible!
Seeing so many local businesses come together with one shared purpose has been incredibly special, and exactly what community is all about.
Together, we've raised an incredible £2,142.45 for Hampshire Hospitals Charity!
Every donation, every bid, every professional jewellery clean, and every conversation has helped make that possible. We couldn't be more grateful.

Days like today remind us why we love what we do. Our business has always been about people and their stories, and today has been a wonderful reminder of what can happen when a community comes together for a cause that truly matters.
