Diamond Viewing Evening
At Petra Jewellery, we believe choosing a gemstone is a defining part of creating your dream piece - and seeing a selection in person often reveals favourites you hadn’t expected!
Our recent Diamond Viewing Event offered a relaxed and welcoming space to do just that.
Hosted by our designer Abi, the evening brought together a small group of guests to explore a handpicked collection of diamonds, each chosen for its individual character.
With a mix of cuts, sizes and variations in colour, it was a chance to slow down and take a closer look at what makes April’s birthstone so captivating.
In true Petra style, the experience was hands-on. Guests used jeweller’s loupes and tweezers to examine each stone in detail - asking questions, comparing options, and building confidence along the way.
The atmosphere was easy and conversational, with plenty of time to chat, learn, and of course enjoy a glass of something sparkling… alongside a few nibbles.
There were also a few light-hearted games, including ‘guessing the carat weight of a diamond in a ring’ and ‘distinguishing diamonds from zirconia’ which sparked a touch of friendly competition around the room.
What made the evening particularly special was the sense of curiosity it inspired.
As guests explored the stones, conversations naturally turned to ideas - how a particular diamond might look in a ring they currently want to remodel, or how it could come to life within a bespoke design.
These early sparks of inspiration are often where the most meaningful pieces begin.
