Samantha
After getting married, Samantha wanted her original engagement ring remodelled so it complemented her wedding ring better. Her wedding ring is a more unusual contemporary ‘rubover’ design and quite a different style to her traditional engagement ring.
So she booked a design appointment to talk it all through with us…
Samantha had quite a few stunning gem stones in her engagement ring: three yellow diamonds and smaller white diamonds: we unset them and laid them out in various arrangements to help her visualise her new design options. Here’s her gorgeous wedding ring in the middle with a sample ring to the left and her unset stones in ‘tac’ beside them:
Sam anther tried quite a few sample ring designs on and we did a few sketches to help bring it all to life. We talked through all her ideas and concerns and advised on all the finer details of the ring design including the setting styles, heights of the ring shoulders and how the ring shank tapered around her finger.
It was really important to Samantha that her new ring had the ‘wow’ factor and we ended up with a configuration of three beautiful yellow diamonds and some smaller white diamonds in-between set in to rubover settings which really complemented her wedding ring design beautifully.
The ring was completely handmade by our on-site goldsmith and the stones were set by our expert setter into the finished ring.
The finished piece is beautiful. Here it is sitting next to Samantha’s new eternity ring which we also made from the remaining diamonds and some of her old gold.
