Danielle’s Reworked Engagement Ring
Danielle had a beautiful opal engagement ring, but after having the stone replaced a couple of times, she knew it was time for a change.
Opal is a relatively soft gemstone, and Danielle was aware that it needed a little extra care. After giving it some thought, she decided she would love to replace it with a purple sapphire instead.
Abi sourced a selection of purple sapphires for Danielle to explore, and she chose a particularly beautiful lilac shade.
It was a lovely, individual colour that worked perfectly with the ring’s existing white gold setting.
With the new stone chosen, it was time for our workshop to get to work.
The claws were carefully re-tipped to prepare the setting, before the lilac sapphire was securely set into place.
After a final clean and polish, Danielle’s reworked engagement ring was ready to collect.
A familiar ring, with a fresh new look and a beautiful lilac sapphire at its heart.
Sometimes a small change can make a much-loved piece feel special all over again.
