Fay's birthday pendant
Chris came in to see one of our designers, Jo. He was looking to create a meaningful pendant for his partner Fay that featured the birthstone of each of their children.
So he had a chat with Jo about what he could gift to her. Jo made some suggestions on which gemstones we could feature, as some months have more than just one which meant they could almost work to a colour palette.
Jo suggested,
A ruby for July
Opal and pink tourmaline for the October birthdays
Tanzanite and blue zircon for the December birthdays
and finally a natural alexandrite for June.
So Chris came in to have a look at all the stones that Jo carefully seleced, to see if he liked the colour palette and how they sat together.
Once he was happy with the gemstone selection and final design, it was time to get our talented goldsmith Behzad creating Faye’s pendant.
Once Behzad had created the bar pendant, it was time to send everything over to our expert setter to carefully set all of the children’s birthstones.
The pendant was then given a final clean and polish, then it was time to get Chris in to collect.
Fay absolutely adored her pendant and loves the sentimental meaning of having all her children’s birthstones close to her heart.

Jane wanted to use her gold and stones. She had a mix of ruby, sapphires both blue and purple , aquamarines, topaz, diamonds to use.
When Clare visited Petra Jewellery, she brought with her a cherished sapphire and diamond cluster ring in yellow gold. While the ring held deep sentimental value, she longed for a modern re-imagining, something that would celebrate the original ring whilst better reflecting her personal style.
During the initial chat, we wanted to do was get an idea of who Tilly was, what kind of jewellery she liked to wear and the designs that would suit her.
Two daughters, one ring, we needed to make another one! It had to be just as good as her first one!
Faith brought her husband Mike in to celebrate their 20th wedding anniversary and their daughter Lauren joined them, to have an afternoon tea and to design a piece of jewellery for each of them. A topaz pendant, emerald and diamond ring and a silver bangle with lapis.

Nikki wanted to use her original rings as well as her heirloom jewellry to create a new set of rings, to create a new set of three rings that would represent her engagement, wedding, and eternity band.
Janice joined us for our topaz and citrine event in November last year, she had a love for blue stones and was looking for a bit of inspiration for a bubble style ring she had been dreaming of.
