Jane's turquoise and diamond cluster ring
Jane had inherited a rather unusual and breathtaking piece…
The design team knew exactly what should be done with it…
Jane left the ring with Rosie, our designer and our goldsmith, Behzad, to come up with a special design to convert the brooch to a ring but keep the visual integrity design.
The idea was to create a simple ring shank to hold the turquoise and the halo of old cut diamonds.
Jane wanted to use her own gold and she had her mum and dad’s wedding bands as well as her mum’s engagement and eternity rings.
The turquoise first had to be unset from the piece as they are soft stones and would likely be damaged due to the heat used in goldsmithing. Our goldsmith built the ring shank and soldered the original setting on top, then the turquoise could be set back in.
The finished ring is absolutely beautiful and the team where sad to see it go!
There is so much life and sparkle in the diamonds and the centre stone is such a unique shape and colour.
