Karen's memorial pendant
Karen came to Petra Jewellery after admiring a stunning pendant her friend had made with us years ago. Inspired, she knew she wanted to create something equally special and meaningful for herself.
Having recently lost her beloved husband, Phil, Karen wanted a piece of jewellery that would keep his memory close to her heart. Sitting down with our designer, Abi, she shared her story and the sentimental value behind her jewellery.
Together, they came up with the idea of a heart pendant made using the gold from Karen and Phil’s wedding rings and set with the diamonds from Karen’s engagement ring.
Our talented goldsmith, Behzad, carefully took the gold Karen provided and began crafting a beautiful, cut-out-style heart pendant.
Once the pendant was ready, Karen’s diamonds were set into the design.
To make the pendant truly unique, Abi suggested engraving it with Phil’s handwriting which is a deeply personal touch. Karen provided a heartfelt message from their 26th anniversary card, written by Phil, which was carefully copied and prepared for engraving.
“I’m absolutely over the moon with my golden heart. I would like to give a big shout out to Abi. Thank you for making my perfect golden heart. It is beautiful xx”
