Mandy's wedding and engagement rings.
Richard and Mandy sat with Jo, one of the designers to design their new wedding rings.
They both had an idea of what they would like made and that they wanted their new rings to be made using platinum.
After discussing what they both wanted from their newly designed rings Jo had a look through the jewellery Mandy had provided, these pieces where sentimental and she was keen to somehow incorporate these into her ring.
Jo drew up some designs using Mandy’s gold and diamonds, and created a matching set, so out went the idea of platinum. However, Jo came up with the idea of including a platinum collet in Mandy’s design to compliment Richard’s platinum band.

Once Mandy was happy with the final design of her five-stone engagement ring…
it was time to get to work!
Mandy’s gold was melted down by our skilled goldsmith, Behzad. Once a shank had been created, a collet was made out of platinum we provided.
Once the rings had been created, we invited Mandy in to test the size for a final fitting before the stones were set, then hallmarked.
Then five of Mandy’s larger diamonds were set into the collet with her smaller stones grain set into the shoulders of the ring to match the profile of her other rings she would be wearing with her new engagement ring.
Once the rings were finished and looking absolutely beautiful, we invited Mandy and Richard in to collect them.
And they were thrilled!
