Pat
Pat got in contact with us after having seen our posts on social media regarding our free afternoon tea design appointments during lockdown.
Our designer Natalie drove to her home in Basingstoke to collect a few items of jewellery and to drop off her afternoon tea, and then they joined each other for a zoom call later on that day to discuss her unusual pieces.
Pat’s husband was a very skilled goldsmith and jewellery designer, so she had a huge variety of interesting and unusual hand made pieces. She wanted some altering, some adding stones to and one to be remodelled completely as it just wasn’t to her taste anymore.
Pat and Natalie then got to work coming up with a design.
It had to be something colourful and unusual to honour the original designs, but also something robust and elegant so that Pat could wear it every day without any worry that the stones might be at risk.
The ring was cast at our casting workshop.
It was then hand set and finished by our expert setter and goldsmith.
The vibrant colours in the stone sit perfectly in the yellow gold.
The craftsmanship on the finished piece is outstanding if we do say so ourselves!
Pat was over the moon with the finished piece. It is still using her husbands beautiful stones and metal, and incorporates his unusual design, but now is a much more practical piece that she can wear every day.
