Sally's heirloom diamond engagement ring
Sally and Paul had heard about Petra Jewellery through a friend that had recommended them.
They were looking to create a bespoke engagement ring together as they had recently gotten engaged.
Sally had two heirloom rings that she really wanted to use as they were so special to her. She wasn’t sure which stones she wanted to use as they had an aquamarine, a diamond and lots of smaller old cut diamonds.
During her appointment she was drawn to a few of our halo ring designs that featured a central stone surrounded by smaller stones.
Rosie drew out a couple different sketches, each featuring either Sally’s diamond or aquamarine as the centre stone. Sally really liked the idea of using the diamond in her ring so we tweaked that design until it was perfect.
Once we had the sketch of Sally’s perfect ring, Rosie had a 3D rendering mocked up of the ring so that we could tweak any finer details such as the setting, profile and the milgrain detailing which is the beading effect around the edge of the halo.
The ring took around two months to make and when it was finally ready…
It was perfect! Sally and Paul were thrilled to have something so bespoke and so special made using her stones.
