Sharon
Sharon had a brooch containing a single blue stone.
She popped in for a design appointment with our designer Natalie to discuss her options.
Together, they decided on a rubover setting, to fully protect the stone, with diamonds set along the shoulders to really compliment the gorgeous sparkle in the centre stone.
We also decided to set it into white gold, as pastel colours like the blue in the stone are best set into lighter metals, as yellow gold will drain the colour slightly.
Above is an image of the ring in progress, before the stones had been set.
The ring was entirely hand built by our master goldsmith and then sent off to our expert setter to set the stones in perfectly.
The finished piece is absolutely stunning and a huge improvement on the original brooch it was set into.
Sharon was over the moon with the finished ring!

Karen came to Petra Jewellery after admiring a stunning pendant her friend had made with us years ago. Inspired, she knew she wanted to create something equally special and meaningful for herself.
Initially we discussed a ring set with three round diamonds and looked at various sizes to see what would look best together.
Two daughters, one ring, we needed to make another one! It had to be just as good as her first one!
Her brief was an oval blue stone with smaller shaped diamonds sat either side. She also knew that she wanted a white metal as it suited her better and all of her special pieces of jewellery were white.
When Clare visited Petra Jewellery, she brought with her a cherished sapphire and diamond cluster ring in yellow gold. While the ring held deep sentimental value, she longed for a modern re-imagining, something that would celebrate the original ring whilst better reflecting her personal style.
Beverley had a selection of unworn gold jewellery that she was looking to transform into something brand new. She had a unusual triangle cut diamond ring that she wanted to use as inspiration for a quirky pendant design.
Suzanne had a beautiful engagement ring that she had been wearing for years but had seen a design that she had fell completely in love with…
Olwen wanted to use her gold and diamonds to make a new unique dress ring with satin finish.
Claire wanted some extra sparkle to her beautiful engagement ring so we sourced two beautiful trilliant cut diamonds and made new setting to make a beautiful solitaire into a stunning trilogy ring.
