Ruby gemstones are the birthstone for July and are gifted for 40th wedding anniversaries. The name is derived from the latin word “ruber “ meaning “red”. This Ruby in particular is a slightly lighter, more pink shade of red, different from the deep “pigeons blood” red ruby.
