Alison
Alison came in with her fiancé Adrian for a design consultation to design her engagement ring. Ali expressed a really passion for emeralds and had always dreamed of having a bottle green stone ring.
Due to emeralds being naturally softer than other gemstones it was really important that as jewellery designers we discussed with Ali and Adrian the different type of setting that will help protect the emerald. Following this conversation, we decided on a rub-over setting to help protect the corners of the emerald.
We ordered in a number of Emeralds and Tsavorites for them both to have a look at and to compare the two gemstones. Ali instantly fell involve with the bottle green tsavorite. And described in to have lots of life and sparkle.
Ali and Adrian really struggled to try to visualise what the engagement ring will look like. We sent the design notes over to our CAD designer to help bring the engagement ring to life.
Once Ali and Adrian had chosen their stone we then went on to finalise the design on the engagement ring. With help from the CAD design we were able to help bring their ring to life. A few tweaks were made to the original design of the ring to help let more light into the stone whilst protecting the stone.
The finished piece was simply beautiful and it was safe to say both Alison and Adrian were left speechless when they saw the ring for the first time.
Alison was over the moon with her engagement ring!
