Just before Christmas Katherine came in to see the Petra team to discuss remodelling two rings that she had inherited from her late gran. Katherine was looking for a new every day wear ring that was more to her taste. To make the ring even more special it was to be gifted from her husband for her 40th birthday.
Both Katherine and her husband Graeme worked closely with our designer Beth. During her first design appointment Katherine came in during out winter wonderland appointment to see Beth. Before the appointment Katherine didn’t know what style of ring she was looking for and it was down to Beth to show her different examples of what could be done along with what would look nice with the stones she currently already had.
Katherine mentioned that she loved the leaf detailing on one of her grans ring and loved the idea of in cooperating this design into her new ring.
With this in mind Beth came up with the idea of a daisy cluster ring. Katherine loved. This idea but was worried it might be too dressy for every day wear. Beth then came up with the idea of a claw set eternity ring style ring with leaf detailing under the settings.
Following their design appointment Beth went away and put together a couple of design drawings and asked our CAD team to put together a couple of 3D drawings of the designs to share with Katherine and Graeme.
When Katherine saw the designs she fell involve with the five stone eternity style ring. To break up the ‘blueness’ of the ring we decided to set in a couple of white sapphires.
Fast forward six weeks and Katherine’s ring returned for our external work shop. Beth was very happy with the finished ring and was very excited for Katherine to see it.
It was safe to say Katherine loved her new ring and I think it is very clear to see why.
