Kim's new wedding and engagement rings
Kim came in to see us with her original engagement and wedding rings, and a very sentimental ring which had some rubies which were very important to her.
Her engagement ring was a white gold diamond and sapphire cluster.
She wanted to give her wedding and engagement rings a new lease of life, and to incorporate the beautiful rubies into the new designs.
She wasn’t sure what she wanted but she knew she wanted something super sparkly!
After deciding to make the new rings in platinum because of the durability and strength of the metal, we moved on to the overall design.
We discussed her new engagement ring having a diamond in the centre – but Kim wanted the biggest stone possible so we decided to think of other options.
As a diamond alternative, our gemstone supplier sent us over some lovely moissanites – which are a diamond simulate.
Kim fell in love with the biggest one!
We used the diamonds in her original engagement ring and channel set them into a contemporary platinum wedding band.
Then we designed a beautiful, unique (and very “kim”) trilogy ring featuring the moissanite, and two of kim’s rubies and some smaller diamonds set into the shoulders.
