Abbie's remodelled engagement ring
Abbie had been given an absolutely beautiful engagement ring by her partner that she loved.
It was set with three beautiful moissanites…but it was the wrong colour metal for Abbie.
So she came to Petra Jewellery to see about remaking it in yellow gold so that she could wear it everyday and not worry about the plating fading.
Since Abbie wanted an exact replica of the ring made and set with her stones, we gave her ring to our CAD team who were able to scan the ring and create a 3D image of it.
Once we had the CAD, we discussed a couple small changes just to make sure the ring would last and be suited for Abbie’s lifestyle, such as making the shank a little thicker.
Once Abbie was happy with the design, we unset the stones, gave them a clean and started making the ring in yellow gold.
The stones were then set and the ring given a final polish and it looks just as breathtaking!
Abbie was thrilled with the ring and happy to have her engagement ring back on her finger!
