Ellie's remodelled topaz ring
Ellie had a ring made at Petra Jewellery a few years ago with a stunning cushion cut blue stone.
The ring was a chunky Bombay style ring which was beautiful, but Ellie felt it was time to give it a new look…
We drew out a design and finalised all of the details like the shank, the shape and placement of the claws and came up with a compass claw set solitaire design to bring focus to Ellie’s beautiful stone.
I spoke with Behzad to make sure he was happy with the design and could make it for us!
Behzad started by unsetting and cleaning the stone before measuring it to create the perfect seat. Then he melted down silver to create a band in Ellie’s size. After lots of careful soldering, filing and polishing, the ring was done and the stone was ready to be set!
Once the ring had a final clean and polish, it was ready for Ellie to collect, we even had her original box!
The stone is such a lovely colour and this new contemporary setting really shows it off!
