Caron's remodelled diamond pendant
Caron had seen Petra Jewellery on social media and after doing some research on remodelling jewellery, she came in to see Rosie.
She had two bands made from one of her mum’s rings which you can see here:
Then she needed to do something with the lovely old cut diamond she had leftover…
Caron really liked the look of our simple rubover platinum pendant so we got it out to have a closer look…
Although she loved it, she felt that her beautiful diamond deserved something just a bit more special and more unique.
Caron liked the idea of the diamond being set inside a flower so we drew a few sketches and we came up with a flower inspired claw/rubover hybrid.
The design would have four “petals” holding Caron’s beautiful old cut diamond and then have the detail continue to the sides and back.
Because we wanted to see how the setting would look in more detail, we had a CAD made of the design.
Caron loved the design so we got started with casting the mount which was made in platinum.
Then Caron’s diamond was cleaned and given to our wonderful setter to set into the mount before it was given a final clean and polish.
Then we arranged another meeting, for Caron to come and see the pendant!
The finished piece is so beautiful and the setting just shows off the diamonds character so well! Caron loves the pendant and can now wear her band and her pendant everyday.
