Caron's remodelled gold and platinum bands

Caron had seen Petra Jewellery on social media and after doing some research on remodelling jewellery, she came in to see Rosie.

She had a very sentimental ring that her mum had given to her that was a single diamond set in platinum and yellow gold. The design wasn’t really to Caron’s taste and she had some ideas of what to do with it.

Caron wanted to separate the yellow gold for a band for her mum and the platinum for a band for herself and keep the diamond for another project.

So, we discussed what widths and profiles Caron liked and decided to make a pinky ring for her mum and, using a bit of extra platinum as well as some of Caron’s own platinum, a slightly chunkier band for Caron to wear.

Once we had drawn out the designs, the ring was given to Behzad to unset the stone and melt the metals!

The finished rings make such a lovely pair and will mean so much to Caron and her mum.
