Charlotte's engagement ring
Ryan booked an appointment for him and his partner Charlotte to come and see us at the cottage, they met with Rosie and explained what they were after.
After having no luck finding the right engagement ring on the high street and feeling a bit disheartened, they explored the possibility of having something made bespoke, just for them.
We discussed what styles Charlotte liked and she spoke about a diamond solitaire but with a bit of a unique twist.
She liked the idea of having a ring with split shoulders so we looked at some samples to make sure she liked the look on her finger, then we started sketching to bring the ideas to life.
We discussed details like the setting styles she like and whether she wanted the setting raised to accommodate a straight wedding band or not.
Once Charlotte and Ryan were happy with the design, we discussed diamonds. We went through the 4C’s, which you can learn about by clicking the button below, and narrowed down what Charlotte wanted in her diamond.
She knew she wanted a round diamond so we got in a selection of round brilliant stones so that Charlotte could see the different sizes, colours and clarities in person and pick the perfect stone to go into her ring.
Once that was decided, it was over to us to start making the ring. The ring was cast in platinum and then the diamond was carefully set into its claw setting. Then the ring needed a final clean and polish to make it sparkle!
Ryan came to pick the ring up by himself so that he could surprise Charlotte and of course…she said yes!
