Debbie's remodelled diamond ring
Debbie had been following the Petra page on Facebook for a few years, and having loved seeing all the Petra Stories we share, she decided it was finally time to start her own!
She came to Petra with her daughter Anna and her treasured jewellery box, ready for a chat with designer Abi about what she might like to create as a special piece to celebrate her upcoming birthday.
During her design appointment she had a look at some of our sample rings to get an idea of what she might like, and settled on a robust rubover set ring, using her white and yellow gold and the diamond from her Mum’s ring.
Once Debbie had approved the design, it was over to our incredible goldsmith Behzad to get to making.
After creating the shank and setting, Abi invited Debbie in to test size her ring. We do this to ensure the fit is perfect incase we need to make any alterations ahead of setting the stone and hallmarking..
Once we were happy with the size, it was time to send the ring to the London Assay office for hallmarking, and then to our setter Rob to rubover set Debbie’s beautiful diamond.
After a final clean and polish it was time to get Debbie in to collect!
...and the finished result looks absolutely stunning!
