Repair to Debbie's heirloom
Debbie came to us needing our help, as her daughter Eleanor was being proposed to.
The ring was an heirloom that she wanted to pass down to Eleanor so it was the perfect opportunity when Eleanor’s partner, Harry asked permission to propose.
Debbie knew the ring was in need of some tender loving care but trusted that the Petra team would be able to turn this much loved family piece around in time for Harry to propose to Eleanor.
The ring was given a thorough inspection and needed to be reshaped and all it’s claws re-tipped.
As the shank was so worn and required sizing down quite a few sizes we suggested re-shanking the ring, to ensure firstly it wouldn’t damage during the sizing process and so that the ring’s longevity would be increased.
Debbie was so pleased we could help to achieve this so we went straight ahead with the work to make this happen for her in time.
The ring went into the workshop to be touched up and made to look brand new once again by our incredible goldsmith, Behzad.
Debbie couldn’t believe the difference in the final repair…
With our job done it was time for Debbie to give the ring to Harry ready for the proposal.
Harry took Eleanor to Seceda, Val Gardena in Dolomites.
To ask the big question…
And her answer was “YES!”
Congratulations to the lovely couple Eleanor and Harry!
Or, if you still need a bit more inspiration, you can see our other gorgeous designs in our bespoke collection here:
Two daughters, one ring, we needed to make another one! It had to be just as good as her first one!
Her brief was an oval blue stone with smaller shaped diamonds sat either side. She also knew that she wanted a white metal as it suited her better and all of her special pieces of jewellery were white.
When Clare visited Petra Jewellery, she brought with her a cherished sapphire and diamond cluster ring in yellow gold. While the ring held deep sentimental value, she longed for a modern re-imagining, something that would celebrate the original ring whilst better reflecting her personal style.
Beverley had a selection of unworn gold jewellery that she was looking to transform into something brand new. She had a unusual triangle cut diamond ring that she wanted to use as inspiration for a quirky pendant design.
Suzanne had a beautiful engagement ring that she had been wearing for years but had seen a design that she had fell completely in love with…
Olwen wanted to use her gold and diamonds to make a new unique dress ring with satin finish.
Claire wanted some extra sparkle to her beautiful engagement ring so we sourced two beautiful trilliant cut diamonds and made new setting to make a beautiful solitaire into a stunning trilogy ring.
Courtney and Dan were looking for a unique set of wedding rings inspired by the magical ring Dan had proposed to Courtney with.
