Michelle's remodelled engagement ring
Michelle and Kevin came to see Jo, one of our expert designers as she wanted to remodel her existing ring.
Jo discussed with Michelle what she wanted from her new ring.
Michelle wanted her new ring to be made in platinum, using her existing diamond with the possibility of adding more diamonds to show off her stones existing sparkle.
After Michelle decided what she was looking for Jo designed a halo setting around the centre princess cut and discussed lots of fine details which were important. Such as the height of the centre stone and the stones set into the halo and if there should be any gap between these settings.
They also discussed if Michelle wanted diamond set or plain shoulders and how the stones would be set around the centre stone creating a halo.
There were lots of desicions to be made, to make sure it was the design was one of a kind and perfect for Michelle.
Jo then had the final design created into a 3D CAD design (which you can see above!)
Michelle loved the final design, but wanted her son Harry to be part of making the final decision so to include all her family in contributing to choosing the design.
Jo also suggested adding a little extra to the design to represent Harry and this was adding his birthstone, citrine inside the ring.
So Harry came in and carefully selected his favourite citrine from our selection.
Once the design was finalised with the diamond layout and Harry’s stone it was time to have the ring cast and make Michelle’s stunning new engagement ring.
And it looked incredible!
Now it was time to collect the ring and Michelle’s husband, Kevin came in to collect without Michelle so Harry and him could surprise Michelle with her
knowing and then was able to surprise Michelle by Harry giving her the ring…
And Michelle was delighted!
