Gill and Sophie's channel set rings
Gill and Sophie came to Petra to enjoy a luxury Afternoon Tea Design Experience with designer, Abi.
They had a collection of inherited and sentimental family jewellery they were looking to remodel into something new.
Both Gill and Sophie had a couple of special pieces that they wanted to be a main feature of their new jewellery, including a lovely 9ct ring set with white and blue stones.
Abi showed them both a selection of the pieces we have on display and they both loved our Petra ring with a milgrain edge. So Abi drew up a design with the milgrain and channel set stones from their inherited ring.
Once the design had been approved it was time for our goldsmith, Behzad to melt down Gill and Sophie’s inherited gold and create their new rings!
Behzad carefully unset all the stones and melted down the gold, creating a profile to match the design.
The bands were then soldered, given a good polish and they were then sent off for setting!
The finished pieces were a matching set of delicately migraines rings made with the sentimental pieces of Gill and Sophie’s inherited jewellery.
It’s always a pleasure creating such lovely pieces which can be worn and cherished everyday.
