Jamie's restored diamond ring
Jamie had a beautiful inherited ring that held deep sentimental value, but after years, it was in need of some care.
The ring had significant wear on the shank and had been repaired many years ago with three glued-in cubic zirconias.
With cherished memories of seeing his Granddad wear it when he was young, Jamie knew it was time to refresh the piece and restore it to its former glory.
Jamie chose to replace the cubic zirconias with stunning laboratory-grown diamonds, opting for the same sparkle his Granddad’s ring once had. He also decided to add a personal touch—a delicate engraving of a whisky glass, symbolising the fond memories he shared with his Granddad.
Our skilled goldsmith, Behzad, carefully restored the ring by rebuilding the worn-down collets, ensuring the new diamonds were securely set. He also strengthened the damaged shank by adding new 18ct gold, ensuring the ring would last a lifetime and continue as a treasured family heirloom.
Once stones had been set it was time to send the ring of for engraving…
The result was simply stunning, with a transformation so remarkable it was hard to believe it was the same ring!
