Janet's Ruby and diamond ring

Janet and John came to see Jo, as their 40th wedding anniversary was approaching and they wanted to look at having a ruby ring made.

They came in with an idea of having a ruby to symbolise the anniversary but wanted help with the design and advice on the stone choice.

Janet fell in love with a stunning 1.91ct emerald cut Ruby.

Once the stone was chosen it was then time to do the design, Janet was inspired by Art Deco styles and wanted to incorporate diamonds into the ring as well.

Jo came up with a design for the ring, having the Ruby as the focus with smaller baguette cut diamond completing the ring.

Janet wanted to have the ring in yellow gold and Jo’s suggestion was to set the diamonds in platinum, as this would show the diamonds off well, as well as make the shank and the ruby setting in 18ct yellow gold.

Janet and John loved Jo’s design so it was time to get our goldsmith, Behzad, to handcraft the ring…

Once the ring was made, it went for hallmarking and then the hand selected stones were set.

Janet and John came in to collect the ring and they got to meet Behzad who had made their ring.

Janet got to take home her lovely ring but she had to wait until their wedding anniversary to wear it!

Congratulations to you both on your wedding anniversary!
