Julie's ring
Julie came with some gold she wanted to use to create a new ring.
She wanted a ring without stones but had interest and to sit long ways on her finger.
Julie had some yellow gold that we could use, which weighed approximately seven grams. The yellow golds were a mix of 9ct and 18ct which we could mix together.
The design was not just to use Julie’s yellow gold but to incorporate white gold too. For this we added approximately seven grams of 9ct white gold.
The ring design was to incorporate the the contrast of yellow and white swirling and intwining.
Behzad the goldsmith melted Julie’s gold and formed wires that he could intwine them together.
Once the ring was made it went to the Assay office to be hallmarked.
The ring was then finished with the yellow gold being polish, while the white gold was given a statin finish and rhodium plate so you could see the contrast.
