Rita's Afternoon Tea Design Experience
Rita and her husband came in for an afternoon design experience for her birthday.
She brought in her gold which were items she didn’t wear anymore, but had sentimental value to her.
While they were enjoying their sandwiches and cakes, Jo the designer was able to sort through the gold and discuss what they would like to have made.
Rita had gold and diamonds she wanted to use.
Jo came up with four designs that would incorporate Rita’s gold and diamonds with a concave theme which was discussed.
After discussing the designs, Rita choose to have a pendant and ring made as she would wear these the most and get enjoyment out of them.
The pendant would have a curve to it and her diamonds would be flush set with the diamonds scattered. As the final piece would be quite heavy, we looked for it to be put on a chain which was adjustable, so that it enabled her to wear it at different lengths.
The final weight of the pendant was approximately 18grams and the 9mm wide ring had a finish weight of approximately 15 grams. It had a scattering of diamonds, all a different variety and coming from different pieces of jewellery.
The items were hallmarked which included a date stamp that would always be there to represent the year Rita turned sixty.
Once everything was finished I was able to arrange for Rita to coming in and collect her stunning pieces that I hoped she would love as much as I did and hope she has many years enjoying her lovely pieces.
