Karin's infinity inspired engagement ring
Ali came in to see me for a design appointment to design a bespoke engagement ring for his partner Karin.
He had seen a ring on our website that he liked because of a small detail that stood out to him…
Ali told me that the infinity symbol had a special meaning in their relationship so he wanted to incorporate it into the ring.
We tweaked the design to incorporate aquamarines as well as making the infinity symbol more prominent.
Once the design was finalised, it was time for the fun part…picking out the stones!
We knew we wanted an oval shaped diamond in the centre as it complemented the design beautifully so I got a few options of varying diamond quality and size so that Ali could pick the one he liked the best!
With the help of a very large magnifying glass, Ali was able to see into the stones to have a proper look and we guided him through the 4Cs. If you don’t know what the 4C’s are when it comes to diamonds, you can read our helpful guide here:
Eventually, we had our perfect diamond. Ali also picked out some beautiful aquamarines to set into the shoulders of the ring.
Now, Ali’s job was done and it was time to make the ring! After 6 weeks of waiting, we had the finished piece…
I was thrilled with the ring, but now it was time for Ali to see it…
He loved it, it was exactly what he wanted and he knew Karin was going to love it too…
“He popped the question in Italy and of course, she said yes! We needed to slightly adjust the size of the ring, so I was able to meet her! The ring suits her perfectly and I am so happy to have been a part of their story!”
