Lindsay's engagement ring
Lindsay and Daniel both came in to see Rosie as they were planning to get engaged and were on the hunt for the perfect ring…
They came in together for an initial discussion to discuss their plans as well as what Lindsay wanted in a ring.
Lindsay mentioned she liked the look of a split shoulder ring so we had a look at two samples of a split shoulder to see if she liked the style in person. She liked the look of the emerald shape stone with split shoulders so we worked from there…
We went through stones and at first Lindsay wasn’t sure if she wanted a diamond or a green stone in the centre of her ring so, we got a few options in so that they could see including some emeralds, green sapphire and green tourmaline (as well as some very sparkly diamonds!).
We also created a 3D model of the ring design so that Lindsay and Daniel could picture it with both stones…
Although she loved the green, they both agreed that the diamond was more dazzling and would be timeless.
Once Lindsay was happy with the design we had come up with…it was over to Daniel who had a surprise in mind.
We invited Daniel into the workshop to work with our goldsmith, Behzad, to start the making of this special ring.
Daniel had a go at melting and refining gold to make a bar of 18ct yellow gold that would be used to create Lindsay’s ring. He even put his and Lindsay’s initials on the gold using a hammer and metal stamps.
Then we could start creating the ring and carefully setting the beautiful radiant cut diamond that they had picked out along with a hidden halo of diamonds for an extra layer of sparkle!
Then it was time for a final polish before Daniel came to collect the ring…
Daniel was thrilled with the ring, it’s so stunning and of course when he popped the question, Lindsay said yes!
