Louise
Louise came in to see the Petra during the summer to look at remodelling a diamond earring she had. Sadly, Louise had lost the other earring and was left with a beautiful diamond stud that she didn’t know what to do with.
The earrings held a lot of sentiment to Louise and her family and she wanted to commission a ring that she could wear every day and to also have something that she could pass down to her daughter.
Louise initially came in to see our designer Beth to discuss ring design’s as Louise didn’t know what style of ring she wanted. Beth showed her different examples of different setting styles to help inspire Louise.
Following her appointment Louise went home and sent over a few photographs of different design’s that she had found and liked the look of. From these images Beth was then able to go away and put together a couple of different design drawings.
Louise struggled to visualise the design so Beth decided to ask our CAD team to put together a 3D drawing of the ring to help bring it to life.
Louise loved the initial design, but there was something that that wasn’t quite right about the design. Beth decided to get Louise back into the shop to talk through the design, we also ordered in some marques sapphires so we could layout the stones to help Louise visualise the ring better.
Following the appointment Beth went away and put together another CAD design image and it was safe to say louise loved the design.
After Louise had give us the go ahead Beth go in contact with out external work shop for them to go ahead and start making Louise’s new ring.
I think we can all agree the finished ring is stunning and very unique. Louise was let truly speechless when she collected her ring.
It goes to show that the design journey isn’t always simple and sometimes we need to do multiple designs to get that perfect one.
