Mary's hinge wedding ring
Mary came to us as she couldn’t get her wedding ring on her finger
She had chat with our designer, Jo. Looking for a solution to be able to wear her wedding ring because she couldn’t get her ‘s over the knuckle due to arthritis.
The solution to make Mary’s wedding ring that she could wear, was to make the ring with a hinge to get the right fit and it was removable if needed to take off
We were able to use her original wedding ring to melt down with some more 18ct yellow gold that she had to make the ring.
We had to measure Mary’s finger with a tape measure rather than the tradition ring gage.
Mary decided as she was redesigning her wedding ring she would like it to be different from the original ring and decided to have a hammered finish on the ring
Once the ring was made, it was sent for hallmarking.
The ring was checked the hinge was all in working order and clipped securely.
It was then time for Mary to have her ring put back on her finger by her husband.
It was lovely to see Mary wearing her wedding ring again and wish her many more year of wedding happiness.
