Sally's Aquamarine ring
Sally and Paul had designed their engagement and wedding rings with Rosie at Petra Jewellery.
Sally had used the diamonds from some sentimental inherited pieces to make her engagement ring but had a beautiful emerald cut aquamarine that was too beautiful to put back in her jewellery box.
So she and Paul came back in to see what to do with it…
As well as the aquamarine, there were a few small round diamonds leftover. Sally knew she wanted something to complement her engagement ring but still be different and unique.
She loves art deco styles so we came up with two different options to use the aquamarine, the diamonds and adding two baguette cut diamonds. Picking between the two was very difficult but ultimately the aquamarine suited Sally better set “up” the finger.
To be sure, we had waxes made of both designs so that Sally and Paul could see them to scale and decide…with the help of the Petra Team!
It was unanimous and the design was chosen. Then it was time to clean the stones and start the ring!
The platinum mount was cast from the CAD and the stones were set by hand. Sally and Paul came dressed for the occasion when they collected the ring. The finished ring is so stunning and Sally loves it.
