At Petra Jewellery, we love getting creative when designing bespoke shaped wedding bands for low-set engagement rings, unusual stone formations and unique ring shapes. Whatever style of engagement ring you have, we can create a custom wedding ring that fits perfectly and looks as though the two rings were always meant to be together.
When Laura visited Petra Jewellery to meet with our designer, Jo, she knew that finding a wedding band to complement her beautiful flower-shaped engagement ring would be a challenge. She had visited a couple of other jewellers and explained that she wanted a ring that would sit perfectly alongside her engagement ring and look as though the two had always belonged together, but unfortunately had not had much luck.
During their consultation, Jo talked Laura through the different options available, including metal choices and setting styles. They discussed whether the wedding band should gently curve underneath the flower-shaped setting or fit more like a puzzle piece, nestling neatly between the existing stones.
To achieve the most precise fit possible, Jo explained that we could digitally scan Laura's engagement ring and work with our talented CAD workshop to create a bespoke design. This advanced process allowed us to engineer a shaped wedding band that was made specifically for Laura's ring, ensuring a seamless fit and a beautiful result.
To compliment the sparkle of Laura’s engagement ring, Jo suggested using 10 beautiful diamonds to slot perfectly in between the curves and contours of the existing ring. Laura was able to see two iterations of the design drawn up by our talented CAD team - one with bezel sets stones, and one with a claw setting.
Having sourced some beautiful stones for Laura’s ring and ensured that the CAD looked perfect, Jo sent everything off to our casting workshop for the ring to be made.
6 weeks later, it was back and looking absolutely stunning.
