Lisa’s Memorial Glass Ring
When Lisa came to see us, she had one very special person in mind: her late husband, Mark.
She wanted to create something that would help her feel close to him when she missed him - something she could wear, hold and touch whenever she needed that little sense of comfort.
When she saw our sample of an ashes-in-glass ring, she knew almost instantly that the pebble-shaped cabochon was what she had been looking for.
From there, the design began to take shape with the help of our talented designer Sarah.
Lisa chose to have Mark’s ashes incorporated into both the glass and the metal. She wanted the glass to feature beautiful shades of teal and blue, creating something calming and completely unique to her.
The finished piece combines a 9ct yellow gold head with a silver shank, with the tactile glass pebble sitting at the centre.
There was also a very special deadline attached to this ring.
Lisa was about to set off on a cruise around the Norwegian fjords - a trip she and Mark had planned to take together.
We knew how important it was for Lisa to have her ring before she left, so we worked to get it finished in time for her journey.
When she collected it, she was absolutely over the moon.
For us, this is what memorial jewellery is really about. Taking something incredibly personal - the memories, the love, the loss - and creating something tangible that can be held onto.
Lisa could take the ring with her on the journey she was supposed to share with Mark.
And now, wherever she goes, she has a little piece of him with her.
