Abi's Engagement Ring
Abi and Tim were looking for the perfect bespoke engagement ring for Abi.
Abi loves being out on the water so they were looking for something inspired by their love of the sea. They had a couple of inherited platinum rings, with one of the rings being a bypass design with two beautiful old cut diamonds.
Abi liked the idea of a bypass ring with two bands in an arching wave holding a blue sapphire and their two diamonds. So their designer, Abi, drew up a design combining these elements.
Once the design had been approved, we ordered in a couple of different blue toned sapphires to choose from. They picked a beautiful blue sapphire that had a slight grey undertone, perfect to replicate the British sea!
Once the stone had been picked it was time to hand over to our talented goldsmith, Bezhad to bring the ring to life…
Behzad melted down Abi and Tim’s platinum then formed the shape of the shank and the settings then set their sapphire and diamonds.
The finished piece was then sent off for hallmarking and given a final clean and polish.
Then it was all ready to collect!
and Abi said yes!
