When Rachael met with Petra designer Jo, the conversation wasn't just about jewellery.
It was about her mum.
Spread across the table were treasured pieces - pearl earrings, a brooch, a wedding ring, an engagement ring and an eternity ring - each carrying decades of memories.
Because jewellery remodelling isn't just about creating something new.
It's about preserving what matters most.
The pearls from several inherited pieces were combined into an elegant necklace she could wear and enjoy every day.
Her mum's wedding, engagement and eternity rings were then thoughtfully remodelled into a single design, bringing together the diamonds, emeralds and mixed metals that had been such a familiar part of her mum's jewellery collection.
When Rachael saw the finished pieces for the first time, she instantly connected with them.
They didn't feel like jewellery she had inherited and stored away for safekeeping.
They felt like her own jewellery, carrying her mum's story forward in a way she could wear every day.
In fact, she loved them so much that when she got home, she shared her story on TikTok.
Her video wasn't about gemstones or craftsmanship. It was about her mum, her memories, and what it meant to have those memories transformed into jewellery she could once again enjoy.
